Volunteer Marine Rescue organisations in South Australia provide a high quality volunteer emergency service along the vast coastline of the State and many miles of inland waterways and lakes.

Other important tasks include vessel recovery and retrieval, medevac and assisting the Police and other government agencies. Their rescue craft, crewed by specially trained volunteers, have been strategically positioned on the metropolitan and regional coastline and at locations along the River Murray and lakes.

The State Emergency Service takes a leadership role in providing a conduit to Volunteer Marine Rescue through the office of the Manager, Volunteer Marine Rescue (Tel: 08 8204 1672)

Blanchetown, Barmera, Berri, Loxton, Renmark, Murray Bridge and Meningie
