Operational Support Volunteer
Not all positions during an emergency response are in the field.
We have specialist units known as Operational Support Units (OSUs) which primarily provide operations support. Most units have some operational support positions available.
Operational support volunteers at standard units carry out some of the following duties:
- Business and administration support
- Operational communications
- Logistics
- Welfare
- Finance
- Equipment and inventory management
- Leadership and management
- Public relations and community engagement
- Reconnaissance and intelligence gathering
- Emergency management and incident management
Submit our volunteer registration form for information on the types of support roles available near you.
