Tumby Bay Unit

Tumby Bay is situated on the west coast of Lower Eyre Peninsula and has a dedicated marine rescue vessel. It also provides a volunteer marine rescue radio station. The unit is very active in road crash rescue on the Lincoln Highway north to Port Neill.

SES Vessel based at Tumby Bay SES unit. Named Tumby Bay 81 or Yalluna. 7.99 plate aluminum Cabin Cruiser, built by Pro-Marine in 2004. Powered by a 260hp Volvo Diesel, and has a range of over 200 nautical miles, will operate to 30nm offshore. Fitted with marine electronic navigation including radar, GPS/Plotter, sounder and a range of radio communications.
