2017 State Rescue Challenge

The State Rescue Challenge is an opportunity for SES volunteers to undertake a range of challenging scenarios to maintain their skills and have the opportunity to be selected to represent South Australia at the National Disaster Rescue Competition in Tasmania, later this year.

The 2017 State Rescue Challenge will be held at AAMI Stadium on Saturday the 27th of May. Members of the public are welcome to attend and see the SES in action firsthand undertaking a range of rescue scenarios.

There will also be displays of SES capabilities, sandbagging demonstrations and the opportunity to talk to our volunteers and recruiters should you have a desire to join the SES or would like storm preparation advice.

Members of the public are welcome throughout the day, however there will be two tours with guides who will take you to each scenario and talk you through what the teams are doing and the SES skills and capabilities in use.

The tours will be held at 10:15 to 11:30am and 1:15 to 2:30pm.

Sandbagging demonstrations and storm preparation advice will also be available throughout the day.
