The public should NOT call SES office numbers for emergencies. This will not speed up the process of getting SES assistance. If anything it will increase the delay.

For storm or flood emergency, please phone 132 500.

For life-threatening emergencies, phone 000.

to make an emergency call to police, fire or ambulance:

Non-emergency calls

If you are deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired, you can use the National Relay Service to make non-emergency calls to emergency services information numbers:

  • TTY users, dial 133 677 and then ask for the emergency services information number that you need. For example, you could ask for the SES Floods and Storms number.
  • Speak and Listen users dial 1300 555 727 and then ask for the emergency services information number that you need.
  • Internet Relay Users use/logon to the following link https://www.iprelay.com.au/call/index.aspx  and then type in the emergency services information number that you need.
  • Video Relay users*** choose the available NRS video relay contact on Skype and then ask for the emergency services information number that you need.
  • If you prefer to use SMS relay, send an SMS to the NRS on 0423 677 767. In this SMS, include the emergency services information number that you need and a short message for the emergency services contact.

*** From the first Sunday in April to the first Sunday in October video relay is only available 6.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday in South Australia except for national public holidays.
