Operational areas of each Association obviously extend beyond their physical location and in addition to their home ports, members private accredited craft are located at many communities.  In line with the recommendations of the State Marine Rescue Committee all VMR resources are trailerable to provide optimum capabilities around the State and the ability to support each other.  These capabilities range from shallow water capabilities including hovercraft through to 8 metre offshore vessels operating up to 30 nm to seaward, depending on their location and topographic and hydrographic characteristics.  VMR have identified a lack of resources in the south-east of the State and are actively pursuing opportunities to remedy this situation.

To assist with details of radio bases and radio frequencies monitored, may I refer you to pages 86 – 89 of the 2007 Tide Tables for South Australian Ports, which I have taken the opportunity to reproduce below.
